What is VISION RENOVATE?
When we set our Strategic Vision, we never imagined how God would provide. One of our prayers was to own a debt-free building to allow more permanency and community impact. Looking back, we can see God laying the foundation before we even dreamed it.
After 16 years of ministry in the city, our church moved from Midtown Atlanta to Fairburn in 2023. We met in the Fairburn Youth Center and started building relationships and community. Our pastor Milton Campbell soon met Pastor Wendell Burdette of Shadnor First Baptist Church in Union City. In their initial conversation, Pastor Wendell shared they had a large building, were in a season of significant decline with an aging congregation, and were very open to sharing their space. Over the following year, we developed a close relationship with Shadnor, using their buidling when we needed an alternative space, connecting with their members, and supporting them in maintenance and repairs. By the the end of 2025, the leadership of Shadnor First Baptist shared their desire to gift us their building and in April 2026, we officially took ownership of the property.
OUR GOAL: $650,000 to renovate and equip our new home for ministry
God has provided the building. Now we prepare it for ministry.
While we aquired the building at no cost, we knew there would be a significant amount of maintenance and updates needed. We prayerfully launched Vision Renovate in the summer of 2026 and we’ve laid out three phases of renovations, totalling approximately $650,000.
Phase 1 (estimated at $130-180k) includes:
Building security upgrades; entrance facelift with refinished columns, siding, and windows; new outdoor signage; new flooring, lighting, and paint in foyer; sanctuary renovation; complete remodel of First Impressions area; new paint, flooring and screens in hallways; new floors and paint for children’s classrooms
Phase 2 (estimated at $200-250k) includes:
New hallway lighting; expansion and remodel of men’s and women’s restrooms; a new restroom in the foyer; new screens, seating, and HVAC in foyer greeting area; complete remodel of Fellowship Hall with new flooring, painting, and lighting
Phase 3 (estimated at $200-250k) includes:
Refresh of education hallway with lighting and children’s murals; remodel of two more restrooms; renovation of upstairs for youth area with new flooring, ceilings, lighting, and paint; studio & podcast build out; outdoor pavilion with fire pit, basketball, benches and tables; addition of a privacy fence by the cemetery, repaving of the parking lot
